Primofin is situated in Flevoland, an important growing area for onions. Around 7700 ha onions have been harvested in 2006. This is 40 – 45% of the total acreage onions from seed in the Netherlands. This area is favourable for growing big sized onions due to fertile clay soils and irrigation possibilities.

Most farmers can store their onions for short term or long term storage up till July.

We buy onions directly from farmers in Flevoland for customers in Holland as well as  other countries such as Poland. These onions are certified for food safety reasons. If needed we arrange transport from farmer to customer.
